The Virtual Rodeo Qualifier (VRQ) uses a two-division structure for nominations:
Any event that allows multiple entries per contestant, or any event with multiple rounds. Designed for formats where contestants receive more than one chance to compete and/or multiple runs contributing to overall performance.
Single-header, single entry, one-run format. Structured for true one-shot opportunities where each contestant has one entry and one run determines the result.
Athletes nominate through the VRQ platform at sanctioned PRCA, UPRA, and IPRA rodeos. Points are earned based on nomination, not placement — you don't need to place top-ten or win prize money to earn leaderboard points.
The top 20 competitors on the Kimes VRQ Leaderboard qualify directly for the Million Dollar Breakaway semi-finals with no additional entry fees. Visit vrqapp.com for the full leaderboard and nomination details.
The VRQ platform has awarded over $20 million in new money since its launch in 2018.
