Updated Entry Requirements for WestWorld/Million Dollar Breakaway
WestWorld has implemented updated health requirements for all horses entering the facility, including those traveling from within Arizona.
Required for Entry at WestWorld of Scottsdale:
• A 5-day Health Certificate for every horse
• A Coggins dated within the past 12 months

How the Event Works
The Million $ Breakaway will consist of 10 go rounds.
- Rounds 1, 2 and 3 will be Thursday night December 18th at 6:30pm.
- Rounds 4, 5 and 6 will be Friday night December 19th at 6:30pm.
- Rounds 7, 8, 9 and 10 will be Saturday December 20th at 6:30pm.
For the last 4 rounds of the final performance, we will cut down from 25 to 15 finalist based on money won and average ranking over the first 6 go rounds.

How to Qualify
The first chance qualifier was held December 1, 2024. The top 5 from each round and the top 10 from the aggregate. As well as 5 from the challengers. Totaling to 25 qualifiers. See the qualifiers here.
The second qualifying rounds (total of 3) with no limits will be held in conjunction with Oklahoma’s Richest October 17th-19th at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, OK. We will advance the top 15 from each go round and the top 15 from the aggregate for a total of 60 ladies advancing to the Semifinals in Scottsdale, AZ on December 17th.
Kimes Ranch Million $ Breakaway will consist of the top 20 Breakaway Ropers on the Kimes VRQ Leaderboard running from April 2 – November 2, 2025.
The last Qualifying opportunity will be a Last Chance Qualifier held in Scottsdale, AZ on December 16th. We will advance the top 10 in each round and the top 10 in the aggregate for a total of 40 ladies and 5 WRWC Challengers advancing to the Semi-Finals on December 17th.
In addition, there will be a Buy Back Round advancing an additional 5 qualifiers and 1 WRWC Challenger to the Semi-Finals that will also run on the 25th beginning at 1:00pm with the opportunity to enter twice.
Other ways to win include a Women’s Rodeo World Championship (WRWC) Challenger Incentive providing a tiered opportunity during the qualifying rounds, last chance qualifier, Semi-Finals and an exclusive Challenger Showcase during the first round of the Million $ Breakaway. In total, this Challenger Incentive will add $25,000. An athlete is eligible for the Challenger Incentive if they meet the Challenger requirements and they enter the WRWC Package in the NextGen Rodeo App.
Who Can Compete
The Kimes Ranch Million $ Breakaway is an open, all ages, event for all female Breakaway Ropers with no membership required to enter.
Who Advances
The Kimes Ranch Million $ Breakaway Semi-Finals will consist of 20 qualifies from the 2025 First Chance Qualifier, 60 qualifiers from the Oklahoma Qualifier, the top 20 from Kimes VRQ Leaderboard, 40 qualifiers from the Last Chance Qualifier, and 5 qualifiers from the Buy Back Round, 5 qualify from 11th-15th World Standings, equaling 150 plus 16 WRWC Challengers (5 from each qualifier & 1 from Buy Back Round), plus 2 Riata Horses (1 top horse from Oklahoma Richest & 1 top horse from the Last Chance Qualifier). For a total of 168 total Semi-Finalists.
From the Semi-Finals, the Top 3 in each of the three Semi-Finals go rounds and the Top 6 from the Semi-Finals aggregate for a total of 15 qualifiers advancing to compete alongside the Top 10 in the World Standings for a total of 25 contestants advancing to the Kimes Ranch Million $ Breakaway. In addition, from the Semi-Finals, the Challengers that entered the WRWC Package will be eligible to advance to an exclusive WRWC Challenger Showcase. The top 2 Challengers in each of the 3 go-rounds and the top 4 Challengers from the aggregate will advance to a WRWC Challenger Showcase to be ran during the first performance of the Kimes Ranch MILLION $ Breakaway on Thursday night December 18th at 6:30 pm.

- $20,000 Riata Bonus:Awarded to the highest-earning nominated Riata horse(s) at the Finals, regardless of how they qualified.
- In the event only one nominated horse qualifies, that horse will receive the full $20,000.
- If no nominated Riata horses earn money in the Finals we will drop to highest ranking based on aggregate time.
- If no nominated Riata horses qualify for the Finals: The $20,000 bonus will be awarded to the highest earning nominated Riata horse(s) from the 2025 Semi-finals.
- Payout amounts are based on participation, with a maximum of five paid positions. Prize money must be earned by receiving a qualified time and cannot be awarded solely based on participation.
- To be eligible, horses must be officially nominated into the Riata program prior to the event. Finalists must enter the side pot for declaration at RiataBuckle.com.

2026 First Chance to Qualify
There will be a first chance qualifier held in Scottsdale, AZ on December 21st with a limit of 250 entries. In addition, we will have a WRWC Challenger incentive that will offer $5,000 added money and advance 1 from each round and 2 from the average for a total of 5 Challengers advancing to the Semi-Finals.

Due to the unforeseen circumstances surrounding the recent EHV-1 outbreak, and in support of the health and safety of the horses, the 2025 Million Dollar Breakaway and CN Productions Rising Stars has been rescheduled to December 16–21 in Scottsdale. While the event will follow a similar structure, we understand that some contestants may need to reassess their participation. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, and our team is doing everything possible to accommodate everyone.
If you wish to draw out of the event or make changes to your stall reservations, you may do so until November 28 at 2:00 PM (MST) and receive a full refund.

Rules/Requirements
- Up-to-date Coggins are required in order to compete
- Entry Fees must be paid in full, and contestant must be in good standing with CN Productions, Women’s Rodeo, and Kimes Ranch before competing.
- Contestant must wear provided back number while competing or will be disqualified.
- Contestant must be in full western attire while competing or to be on arena floor.
- No one on the arena floor except contestants, judges & event personnel. (Must be in Western attire)
- 10 second penalty for broken barrier or if contestant beats the barrier.
- Judge has the right to add 10 second penalty if barrier malfunctions in any way and judge feels it is obvious contestant beats or breaks the barrier.
- Bell Collar catch is mandatory in order to receive a qualified time. Bell Collar catch is determined from where catch loop is when contestants rope breaks from the saddle horn.
Bell collar catch defines as NO appendages in loop. Loop must be above calves knees and rope must be in front of hip bone on calves back when rope breaks from the saddle horn. Rope must draw up tight on calf and break string from the saddle horn to be a legal catch loop.
- Must use nylon string provided by Million Dollar Breakaway Judges.
- Roper must have flag tied to the very end of rope. Roper can’t break rope from horn with her hand.
- 25 second time limit.
- No rattling of chute gates or box gates. No form of outside help of any kind other than a calf pusher.
- Instant replay will be in effect for Bell-Collar Catch & Barrier. (MDB Finals Only)
- 45 second time limit in box. Time starts once barrier is pinned and arena is clear for the contestant.
- If calf gets out or lays down in chute contestant must run the designated extra.
- Contestant must supply your own calf pusher. Pusher must be in western attire.
- Judges call is final.
- Contestant can’t compete in the WRWC Challenger Showcase and the MDB.
- If calf ducks back before the score line, falls down before the score line or fails to break the neck rope for any reason contestant will receive an automatic re-run penalty free.
- If fouled by the neck-rope on calf, contestant will receive a re-run. If contestant breaks the barrier during this situation contestant will have a 10 second penalty on re-run option.
- Judges have the right to give an automatic disqualification for any misconduct in or out of the arena and for any animal abuse.
- Cheating of any kind or attempts to cheat will result in an automatic disqualification.
- Top 15 contestants for the final 4 rounds will be determined from the top 12 money earners and the top 3 from the aggregate standings on 6 head. If the top 3 in the aggregate are already within the top 12 money earners we will continue with top money earners through 15th position
CN Productions Events Draw Guidelines
- All Draw Outs before entry deadline will receive a 90% refund of the actual entry fee only.
- All Draw Outs after entry deadline and before 10 days prior to event will receive an 80% refund of the actual entry fee only
- All Draw Outs 10 days or less prior to event will NOT be refunded.
- The $5 transaction fee and Stripe Fees (Credit Card Processing Fee) and CN Productions $40 Office Fee and NOT refundable
